Dystopian creatures

The theme of my work is the human body, which for me is sacred and dignified in all its variations: because it emanates from the very breath of life, it must absolutely be respected and protected as the seat of our indivisible and inviolable dignity.

Unfortunately, the reality is different, and I'm interested both in the wounds as traces of the vulnerability of the human being and in the possible deformations in which people can be trapped. Who feel trapped in a form of existence that they have not chosen. The beings I have created oscillate between anthropomorphic, zoomorphic and other biological manifestations. They are recognisably somewhere between the animal kingdom and man, unique and dystopian beings.

Physical and mental deformation go hand in hand.

In this sense, my works are metaphors: they are bodies that have perhaps suffered violence, that have been reified. Or beings who simply have to make do with their amorphous form of existence: because no one can escape the restrictions imposed on them.
